To equip and train emerging church leaders and ministry workers with biblical knowledge, practical ministry skills, and Christ-centered leadership for the effective fulfillment of the Great Commission.

03

Our Philosophy

We believe that biblical truth, spiritual formation, and Christlike character are the essential foundations for effective ministry and lifelong Kingdom service.

The institute is designed to provide advanced training and equipping in biblical and doctrinal studies, ministry, and leadership skills so that her graduates may keep up with the challenges of modern ministry management.

Empowering Ministry Through Education

At WBI, we focus on equipping and training gifted and professional members of any ministry who are emerging as church leaders and critical ministry resources for the Great Commission (Matthew 28:20; Ephesians 4:12).

WBI exists to bridge the gap of necessity and time. Many believers who cannot afford the cost (time, money, etc.) of traditional seminary education can now attend their home-church Bible school without the high cost associated with formal institutions of higher learning.

It is our desire to empower people for ministry works by combining biblical knowledge and ministerial skill sets for effectiveness.

The Bible school is able to meet the spiritual needs of all working-class believers who are not satisfied with the weekly Sunday School and Bible Study hours (Evangelical Training Association, 2004).

Here at WBI, our vision is to train soldiers for Christ at this end time, sharpen their knowledge of the Bible, and assist those who are poised for purity in Christ to achieve their goal through learning more about Him.

Our History

WOSEM Bible Institute (WBI) traces its origins to June 2011 when Pastor Dr. Abraham Obadare initiated the establishment of the WOSEM Discipleship College by appointing Pastor Dr. Emmanuel Jewoola and Elder Samuel Afuape to lead the project. The vision soon expanded to include representatives from other CAC (WOSEM) assemblies across New York City, laying the foundation for a district-wide center for biblical and ministerial training.

Conceived as a Training and Education Project (TEP), the Institute was established to provide accessible, church-based theological education and leadership development for WOSEMITES and other believers. Following extensive planning and outreach, WBI officially commenced academic activities on December 14, 2013, welcoming its first Certificate students. Since then, the Institute has grown to offer both Certificate and Diploma programmes, remaining committed to equipping believers with sound biblical knowledge, practical ministry skills, and Christ-centered leadership for effective Kingdom service.
